Louisiana SPCA’s Food Pantry is Open!
NEW ORLEANS – In response to Hurricane Ida the Louisiana SPCA has acquired pet food for our food pantries! After the storm we heard and saw a huge need for pet food from our communities. With shipping slow, stores having trouble restocking, and families suffering financial hardships because of hurricane related costs, we expanded and opened our free food pantry to anyone in need of pet food.
To schedule a pet food pick up at one of the two campuses located in Orleans and Plaquemines Parish visit www.louisianaspca.org/foodpantry. Both locations are open from Tuesday to Saturday from noon – 4 p.m. for food pick up services.
Our food pantry was created to help pet parents by providing pet food, litter, and other pet-related necessities like leashes and collars. There is currently no limit to how many times you can use our food pantry and is available to pet parents regardless of what parish you live in.
