Youth Programs

Humane education helps build lifelong values such as kindness, compassion, empathy and responsibility. By learning how to care for animals and prevent suffering, young people become active participants in creating a more humane community.

Teaching students to understand that animals are living, feeling beings deserving of respect and compassion also strengthens empathy for others. Educating the next generation is an important part of the Louisiana SPCA’s mission.
