As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Louisiana SPCA is not a part of any other SPCA or humane society. We operate and raise all funds independently. We are committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in New Orleans since 1888 and Plaquemines Parish since 2020 and across the state as a 4-Star Charity Navigator rated nonprofit ranking in the top 1% of all animal welfare organizations.
